Ubisoft Renames Gods & Monsters to Immortals Fenyx Rising

Ubisoft officially confirms their decision to change the title of their upcoming open-world Greek myth adventure, Gods & Monsters. It will now be known as Immortals Fenyx Rising.

The announcement came via a Twitter post in Ubisoft UK official account. The tweet includes the game’s new logo and the announcement that the reworked game will be shown at the next Ubisoft Forward broadcast happening on September 19.

The game, Gods & Monsters, was first revealed at E3 2019. It has an original release date of February 25, 2020, but then delayed last year. Furthermore, since its E3 reveal, the game has been altered in many ways. The game has changed since its E3 2019 demo in terms of its features, character design, tone, and art. Thus, Ubisoft thinks it’s only fitting that the game receives a new title.

According to GamerBolt.com, Immortals: Fenyx Rising will be a much different game than its early version. The developers confirmed that their vision for the game had changed, following a major shift in development.
