Wild Rift is currently on its open-beta state, allowing more players around the world to try the MOBA game on their smartphones. If this is your first time playing Wild Rift, then you definitely need to take your time in learning its ropes. This starts with choosing the best beginner champions in the game. And with that being said, here’s our list of the 10 best Wild Rift Champions for beginner:

BARON LANE

Garen – The Might of Demacia

Garen is the easiest tank champion to play in the game thanks to his straightforward mechanics. On top of that, he has also high durability and is capable of absorbing a lot of damage. And not only that, he can also deal so much damage to his enemies with his first skill Decisive Strike and his ultimate skill, Demacian Justice. Garen also has a skill called Silence, a debuff which prevents enemy champions from using their abilities for a short duration. It also removes all slow effects on Garen at the moment. All in all, Garen is one of the strongest top lane heroes for 1v1 duels.

Nasus – The Curator of Sands

Nasus is one of the best Wild rift champions to use if you’re just learning how to play the game. He is easy to learn and easy to play. But the best thing about Nasus is he can absorb and deal a lot of damage too. He also has a skill called Wither, which slows down his target’s Movement and Attack Speeds over time. This can be very helpful during the laning phase of the game. Nasus also has a very powerful ultimate ability called Fury of the Sands, which upon activation, allows him to gain more Health, Armor, Attack Range, Magic Resistance, and Cooldown Reduction.

MID LANE

Lux – Lady of Luminosity

Lux is a long-range mage that you can use for mid-lane or as a support in duo lane. While she works well as a support, Lux can do wonders as a mid-lane champion thanks to her high Magic Damage. You will be able to harass enemy champions with her two crowd control abilities: Light Binding (1st Skill)  and Lucent Singularity (3rd Skill). Lux is one of the easiest champions to play with, and also one of the champions that does a lot of damage with her ultimate skill, Final Spark.

Annie – The Dark Child

Annie is the best champion to play in the mid lane if you’re looking for a champion that does a lot of damage and can carry the game. She is the easiest Mage class champion that can be a terror during late game. This allows Annie to easily dominate the enemy when taking the mid-lane. The highlight of her kit is her ultimate called Summon: Tibbers, where she summons a giant burning bear that damages nearby enemies and attacks them. Tibbers can be used to tank damage from enemy champions or turret while you and your teammates  push the lane.

JUNGLER

Master Yi – The Wuju Bladesman

Master Yi Master Yi is one of the most beginner friendly champions in Wild Rift. But this doesn’t make him weak, in fact, he has the ability to destroy an entire enemy team all by himself. This is why he’s one of the most favorite champions that players usually pick as Fighter/Assassin. He has an ability called Alpha Strike, which allows him to teleport across the battlefield and deal physical damage to multiple enemies. This can be used in combo with his third skill, Wuju Style, which grants bonus damage on basic attacks, and her ultimate skill, Highlander, that upon activation, increases his Movement and Attack Speeds. With such an overwhelming kit, Master Yi is one of the champions you should try to play in Wild Rift.

Xin Zhao – The Seneschal of Demacia

Xin Zhao is a favorite champion of many, and a great jungler fighter to pick. He is easy to play and can be very helpful to have in your team. His skill kit allows him to be an initiator during team fights or by taking out squishy enemy champions stealthily during the early game. Xin Zhao has multiple CC abilities, and is capable of doing 1v1 fights. One of his best skills is his ultimate, Crescent Guard, which can be a great tool in teamfights as it knocks back all enemies it hits. This can allow you to push an entire enemy team to a disadvantageous position when used correctly.

DRAGON LANE – ADC

Ashe – The Frost Archer

Ashe is the most beginner-friendly marksman to play in Wild Rift. And not to mention the easiest one to start with. Her kit holds a lot of crowd control and damage which makes her one of the best Marksman in the game. Ashe has decent range and has a massive ultimate called Enchanted Crystal Arrow, where she fires a Large Crystal Arrow which range can reach the entire map while the flight of his arrow can be controlled after firing. Then she has her first ability called Ranger’s Focus, which increases her Attack Speed and transforms her basic attack into a powerful flurry attack for a duration. This allows her to dominate the lane early on.

Miss Fortune – The Bounty Hunter

Miss Fortune is one of the go-to choices who are trying to learn the role of a Marksman. She has great abilities that allow her to damage enemy champions from a safe distance such as Love Tap (1st Skill) and Make It Rain (3rd Skill). Aside from that, she has a passive skill called Love Tap, which grants her movement speed when she hasn’t taken damage for a while. Last but not least, she has an ultimate ability called Butter Time, where she channels a barrage of bullets into a cone in front her, dealing large amounts of damage to her enemies. Aside from that, Miss Fortune is a very fun champion to play with and can easily dominate her lane.

DRAGON LANE – SUPPORT

Janna – The Storm’s Fury

If you’re looking for an enchanter support champion then Janna is the one you should start with. She has great crowd control abilities that you can use to your team’s advantage. Her ultimate skill for example, Monsoon, allows her to throw enemies back while healing her allies — which when executed properly can turn the tides of battle. Then during the early game, she has her first skill, Howling Gale, where she releases a storm which damages and knocks up enemies. Janna also has a defense ability called Eye of the Storm, where she creates a defensive shield for herself, her ally, or their turret. This ability upon activation also increases the ally Attack Damage.

Soraka – The Star Child

Soraka is one of the best support champions you can pick as a beginner. She can poke her enemies with her first and third skill, Star Call  and Equinox. And the best thing about her is she offers a lot of healing. Her second skill called Astral Infusion, allows her to heal an ally by sacrificing a portion of her health. Then there’s her ultimate skill, Wish, which allows her to heal the entire team, which can be a game-changer during teamfights. Last but not least, she is the easiest support champion to learn as a beginner. And to top of that, she is a very reliable support.
