Alistar is a great support tank champion who can assist his team by providing crowd control abilities that can disrupt their burst. He can can provide immense kill pressure in the laning phase using his combo, making him one of the best support champions in both Wild Rift and League of Legends. ALISTAR – THE MINOTAUR

Always a mighty warrior with a fearsome reputation, Alistar seeks revenge for the death of his clan at the hands of the Noxian empire. Though he was enslaved and forced into the life of a gladiator, his unbreakable will was what kept him from truly becoming a beast. Now, free of the chains of his former masters, he fights in the name of the downtrodden and the disadvantaged, his rage as much a weapon as his horns, hooves and fists.

Recommended Build
- Dead Man’s Plate – This item can help increase Alistar’s kill pressure with its added movement speed and bonus damage. It also applies slow to your target enemy with its first attack.
- Zeke’s Convergence – Its passive Harbinger slows down enemy and increases your ally’s attack every time you cast your ultimate which gives a huge power spike to ensure a kill.
- Plated Steelcaps – This item increases Alistar’s movement speed and armor. It also blocks 15% of damage from enemy’s basic attacks.
- Gargoyle Enchant – This item increases Alistar’s maximum health by 65%, while also reducing any damage dealt by 60% for 4 seconds. If there are 3 or more enemy champions nearby, this item automatically increases Alistar’s health by 130% instead.
- Force of Nature – This item grants increasing magic resistance to Alistar the longer the fight goes on. It also increases Alistar’s movement speed each time you are hit by a unique ability from an enemy champion.
- Abyssal Mark – This item increases Alistar’s HP and magic resist. It also grants sustain bonus, and increases the magic damage received by enemies around Alistar.
- Frozen Heart – This item decreases the attack speed of enemy champions nearby so your team has a higher chance of survival from any onslaught attacks from late game AD carries who relies on their attack speed.
Tank Support Build
- Protector’s Vow – Whenever an ally take damage from a champion, monster, or turret, both of you receive a 125 shield and 20% bonus movement speed for 1.5 seconds.

- Warmog’s Armor – This item gives Alistar’s at least 2500 maximum health, and also regenerate 5% of his maximum health per second if you haven’t taken any damage for the last 6 seconds.
AP Support Build
- Lich Bane – This item increases Alistar’s burst damage and empowered your next attack after casting an ability with bonus magic damage.
- Rabadon’s Deathcap – This item provides tons of Ability Power to increase your overall magic damage.
- Mercury Threads – Increases Alistar’s movement speed by 15% for 3 seconds.
- Gargoyle Enchant – This item increases Alistar’s maximum health by 65%, while also reducing any damage dealt by 60% for 4 seconds. If there are 3 or more enemy champions nearby, this item automatically increases Alistar’s health by 130% instead.
- Infinity Orb – Makes Alistar’s abilities deal critical damage to low HP targets. It will turn all of his abilities into burst damage execution skills.
- Morellonomicon – This item grants a little magic penetration and adds the Grievous Wounds effect to Alistar’s damaging abilities.
- Void Staff – This item increases Alistar’s damage output against tanks with high magic penetration stat.
ALISTAR RUNES
Keystone Rune: Aftershock
- Immobilizing an enemy Champion icon.png champion grants a static 50 (+ 50% bonus armor) bonus armor and 50 (+ 50% bonus magic resistance) bonus magic resistance for 2.5 seconds.
- After the duration, you release a shockwave that deals 12 − 110 (based on level) (+ 4% of your maximum health) Magic damage.png magic damage to nearby enemies.
- Cooldown : 35 seconds
Minor 1 Domination: Weakness
- Slowing or immobilizing an enemy champion marks them for 5 seconds, while marked they take 5% increased damage.
Minor 2 Resolve: Loyalty
- Gain 2 bonus armor and 5 bonus magic resistance. Your closest ally champion gains 5 bonus armor and 2 bonus magic resistance, which can be stacked.
Minor 3 Inspiration: Pack Hunter
- While near ally champions, gain 2% bonus movement speed. For each unique ally you participate in a takedown with, you gain 50 gold and the ally gains 50 gold.
ALISTAR – SPELLS
- Flash – Teleport a short distance forward or towards the aimed direction (150 second cooldown).
- Ignite – Ignites target enemy champion, dealing 60 − 410 (based on level) true damage over 5 seconds and inflicting them with Grievous Wounds, reducing healing effects by 50% (90 second cooldown).
ALISTAR ABILITIES
Passive – Triumphant Roar
Alistar charges his roar by stunning or displacing enemy champions or when nearby enemies die. When fully charged he heals himself for 20 HP and all nearby allied champions for 40 HP.
1 – Pulverize
Alistar smashes the ground, dealing 60 magic damage(60 +50% AP) to nearby enemies and tossing them into the air for 1 second.
2 – Headbutt
Alistar rams a target with his head, dealing 55 magic damage (55 + 60% AP) and knocking the target back. May also target turrets to deal 150% bonus damage.
3 – Trample
Alistar tramples nearby enemy units, ignoring unit collision and gaining stacks if he damages an enemy champion. At full stacks Alistar’s next basic attack against an enemy champion deals additional 100 magic damage (100 +40% AP) magic damage to nearby enemies for 5 seconds. If Trample damages an enemy champion 5 times, Alistar’s next attack within 5 seconds is empowered to deal an additional 40 magic damage and stuns for 1 second. Only one stack can be gained per tick.
4 – Unbreakable Will
Alistar lets out a wild roar, removing all crowd control effects on himself, and reducing incoming physical and magical damage by 55% for the 7 seconds.

ALISTAR – CHAMPION ANALYSIS
Strengths
- Alistar is a great all-around support tank. He can provide a lot of utility and tanking for his team. Alistar’s skill kit includes an AoE heal, a stun, a knock up, a knock back, a dispel, and damage reduction.
- Alistar requires little items to be effective. He doesn’t need to be tanky to be able to give all the possible resources to his teammates. Even in early game, he can still be effective.
- Alistar can also tower-dive and destroy turrets with low HP.
Weaknesses
- Compare to other tank champions, Alistar is not tanky enough in teamfight when he doesn’t have his ultimate. Using his ultimate ability, Unbreakable Will, in the wrong time can put him and his team at risk.
- Beginners can easily mess up his 2nd and 1st combo, flinging enemy into safety.
- You have to play around with his cooldowns, but the enemy can likely do the same thing against you.
ALISTAR – GAMEPLAY TIPS
Early Game Tips
- Alistar can be a great support tank champion that can provide immense kill pressure in the laning phase using his combo.
- He may be weak at level 1 due to the need for his combo. So avoid poking enemy while at level 1. Instead, work to distract enemy and allow the marksman to clear the lane fast so you two will be able to reach level 2 faster than the enemy.
- Once you’ve reached level 2, suprise the enemy using your 2nd skill and first skill combo to lower down their HP. If you’re sucessfull in bringing the enemy around at half health, burn the remaining their remaining HP using Ignite. This way it will be easier for the marksman to kill them. Repeat this tactic until you reach level 5.
Late Game Tips
- Initiate fights using your 2nd skill and 1st skill combo. Do not hesitate and dive towers if your ultimate is available.
- Make sure you are tanky enough to soak damage. Get your ultimate ready for teamfights. Avoid putting yourself at risk if your ultimate is on cooldown by staying close to the ADC.
- Protect your teammates at all cost. Headbutt enemies away from your team if they happen to be a threat. You can also headbutt enemy jungle away from the Dragon or Baron if you’re team is trying to take them.
