Genshin Impact 2.8 livestream date and time has been announced. As usual, the livestream program will provide information on the next Banner schedule and events included with the upcoming update.
One new character in the 2.8 patch has been leaked heavily in social media, but HoyoVerse hasn’t announced anything about the character. There are also speculations that we might finally see some teasers of Sumeru, the land of Dendro. But here’s everything we know about the upcoming livestream update.
Genshin Impact 2.8 Special Program Date and Time
The Genshin Impact 2.8 Special Program livestream starts on Saturday, 2nd July at 8am (UTC-4) on the official Genshin Impact Twitch channel. It will then go live on the official Youtube channel at 12pm (UTC-4).
For other time zones, you can watch the livestream on Genshin Impact’s Twitch Channel at:
- UK: 1:00 PM (BST)
- Europe: 2:00 PM (CEST)
- East Coast US: 8:00 AM (EDT)
- West Coast US: 5:00 AM (PDT)

Genshin Impact 2.8 Banners – What to Expect
Genshin Impact 2.8 livestream will provide more details on solid Banner dates and characters. While it has not been confirmed yet,a new character named Shikanoin Heizou is expected to debut at some point during the 2.8 Banner schedule.
As seen in the leaks, Shikanoin Heizou is an Anemo, catalyst user, who uses hand-to-hand combat to deal with his enemies.
Whether he debuts in Phase 1 or 2 is unknown. But according to speculations, seeing that Shikanoin Heizou was teased so early, it’s likely he’s scheduled to be in one of the first event Banners. Genshin Impact leaker lumie_lumie on Twitter also claims that Heizou will debut during the first Banner phase.
Lumie also claims that Klee and Kaedehara Kazuha will be available in Phase 1 rerun Banners. Their signature weapons, Lost Prayer and Freedom Sworn, will also return for the weapon banner.
Another leaker that goes by the moniker Uncle Y also claims that a Yoimiya rerun Banner will also take place after the 2.8 update.
If all the information above turns out to be true, the characters that will be featured in the 2.8 update include:
- Debut of Shikanoin Heizou (Anemo)
- Rerun of Klee (5-Star Pyro)
- Rerun of Kaedehara Kazuha (5-Star Anemo)
- Rerun of Yoimiya (5-Star Pyro)
None of these Banners and characters have been officially confirmed. So we’ll have to see during the Genshin Impact 2.8 livestream if the leaks turns out to be true or not.
