Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 Delays

Paradox Interactive confirms the delay of Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 release date to 2021.

The news came via a tweet posted by Bloodlines 2 official Twitter account. According to the announcement, the developers will be moving the launch of Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 to 2021. The main cause of the delay is to ensure that the game will be able to ensure the best player experience as possible. As they say, their goal for the game is to deliver a worthy successor to the original Bloodlines game.

The tweet also notes that they will share more information in the coming months on the game’s launch timing. Paradox Interactive and Hardsuit Labs also promise that they will update fans about any changes that they might add to the game.

The developers also hope that fans understand the quality bar and ambitions they have set for Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines.

Gameplay

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 allows players to create a vampire character. The player must choose his character’s background or their life before they were turned into a vampire. Each character background offers a different dialog and interaction options within the game world.

The player must also choose one from the three upgradable Disciplines (vampiric abilities) in the game:

  • Chiropteran – allows the character to glide and summon bats
  • Mentalism – allows the character to levitate objects and people
  • Nebulation – allows the character to summon mist to attack, conceal himself or transform into a mist to move through spaces

The character can also choose one of five Full-blood clans, each with their own access to its Disciplines and upgrades. Aside from engaging with the main story, players can also accept side story quests, which can be discovered through exploration.

Last but not least, players must remember the feeding on blood is necessary to survive in the game. Players can obtain it from feeding on humans, either by taking all or some of their blood.

Release Date

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 will now launch at an indeterminate point in 2021 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. It will also launch on next-gen consoles, including PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
