Ubisoft has revealed a new FPS battle-royale video game titled Hyper Scape. The game has been teased and partially leaked for the past few days.

According to Ubisoft, Hyper Scape is a free-to-play FPS battle-royale game. It will be released for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. According to the developers, they have targeted a release period of Summer 2020. It will start with a closed technical test that will be launched on PC from July 2 to 7. More phases of the game will follow in the build-up until its full release.

Hyper Scape is set in a virtual reality world. It focuses on a sport called Crown Rush.100 players are split into 3 squads to compete for victory. Victory can be claimed in the usual battle-royale rule with the typical last team standing. The squad can also win by claiming a crown objective in the final phase of the match by holding it for 45 seconds.
What sets Hyper Scape apart from other battle royale games is that it is set in an entirely urban map. From what we know of, the city map is said to be inspired by Paris and is filled with jump pads to allow players to do fast-paced vertical movements.

Another thing to note is that Hyper Scape will be connected to Twitch, which will allow spectators a level of influence over the games. You can also earn rewards from the game just by watching.
According to Ubisoft, during the technical test, viewers will be able to vote on in-game events like giving players unlimited ammo. The developers also explained that once the game is fully released, viewers will be able to unlock battle pass progression by watching people stream Hyper Scape. They can even join the squad of their favorite streamers.
Technical Test
For those who want to try the game, the Hyper Scape technical test is now available on PC. It features nine different weapons and nine hacks. Hacks are special abilities in the game that can give players an edge, such as teleport or an invisibility cloak. The technical test will also feature a 10-tier battle pass all for free. Anything that the players can earn in the technical test will be carried over into the full release.
To get in and play during the game’s technical test, you will need to watch Hyper Scape streams on Twitch and wait for a Twitch Drop. This will give you access to play the game on the technical test servers.
