Halo Infinite Release Date Delays to 2021

Microsoft announces that Halo Infinite will no longer launch this year. Halo Infinite release date will be delayed from its planned Holiday 2020 launch to an unspecified 2021 release date. This announcement means that Halo Infinite will no longer launch alongside Xbox Series X.

Xbox and Microsoft did not confirm the release window for Halo except that it will be next year. According to the developers, the delay comes as the result of multiple factors affecting the development challenges. This includes the impacts caused by the global coronavirus pandemic situation affecting us all.

Next-gen console, Xbox Series X will still launch this year. Microsoft already confirmed that Xbox Series X will launch in November 2020.

The game was first announced in last year’s E3. For a while, 343 Industries remained relatively quiet about the upcoming Halo sequel. Recently though, we’re getting more updates from the studio about Halo Infinite’s development. These updates include Halo Infinite’s announcement of free-to-play multiplayer. It will support 120 fps on Xbox Series X.

According to the developers, Halo Infinite takes place after the events of Halo 5. The game’s storyline starts as The Pilot rescues Master Chief, who has been drifting in space. Together, they try to understand what’s currently happening in their surroundings.

The game will once again introduce The Banished, who was first introduced in Halo Wars 2. The end of the gameplay demo video also introduces us to the game’s villain, War Chief Escharum. Another figure mentioned in the demo is “The Harbinger,” which, according to teasers, will bring an end to everything.
